Hello, my name is Sarah Heemskerk and I am really excited to begin my first year of teaching at DanceCo. I have been dancing with DanceCo for the past 13 years and have trained in ballet, pointe and hip-hop. I’ve also had the opportunity to do the Stars Of Hope fundraiser with DanceCo. For the past 3 years I have been involved in theSTARteam program in the styles of hip-hop, ballet and preschool. I’ve gained a great deal from these experiences and I am excited to apply what I’ve learned to my classes I will be teaching.
In addition to working with the children at DanceCo I have participated with the Leaders In Training program through the city ofSt. Albertwith 170 hours logged over two summers. I have also volunteered at a Christian Sports Camp atGraceFamilyChurchfor 2 years. Additionally, I have assisted with spring break art camps through the citySt. Albert. I hope to add to another great dance season and I hope everyone has an awesome year.
