Sherri Birdsell Bio

Sherri is passionate about dancing, teaching and learning.  She has been dancing since the age of 3.

Sherri has taught in St. Albert for the past 19 years and is a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.  She also holds a B ED degree in Elementary education and has worked at Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts as the Elementary Dance Head for the past 11 years.  At Victoria school Sherri developed and implemented programming for Elementary students as well as worked with Junior High and High school students.

She has enjoyed choreographing for the school musicals and the many other arts integration opportunities that were available at Victoria school.  In 2008, Sherri was hired to start a dance program for both Virginia Park and Mount Royal schools, two Arts Core programs offered through Edmonton Public Schools.  Her latest endeavor has been starting an Arts Based preschool in partnership with DanceCo Dance Studio. 

Happy Heart playschool has had a very successful first year and Sherri has loved working with preschool children and sharing her passion for dance with her students!
